Cereal Singing
Nola entertained me with some singing this morning, and snack time, and pretty much all morning since we were stuck in the house because of the snow.
ABC's at breakfast

Twinkle Twinkle Old McDonald at snack time

Nola takes every bit of credit for her singing and if you can catch it, she says "Thank you so much... welcome to Erican Iol" we know it as American Idol. Then she went on to change her baby's diaper.

Play Days
Mondays we like to do play dates. Wednesdays we go to toddler time at the library. Tuesdays and Thursdays Nola goes to preschool! Yikes, when did she get so big?! And Fridays we have the See Mommy Run walking group that we love but don't do on cold days.
On chilly mornings we do indoor play dates, and a perfect spot is Whit's End playground at Focus on the Family. We went there last Monday with my friend Jami and her son Reed. Nola's older man by a month.

Nola was certainly a chatter box... until Jami and Reed showed up. She also can be so shy! She is a visual learner and soaks it all in.

Check her out, checking Reed out. He was spouting out his ABC's, a song which she knows really well but refused to utter a word. And of course it's all I heard as soon as we got in the car to go home! She's so precious!

Rockwell turned 9 months on Friday and is a perfect baby. I know I'll get in trouble for saying that when they are older, but he really is! Zack's sisters still tease him for being the "perfect child."

As a professional army crawler, Rockwell shows a 13 month old how to move around in the video below. He even pops up on all fours to practice the real thing once in a while.

We also ran into Amy and darling Isabelle Clare!

Better late than never...
Glad we had the hiking backpacks instead of a stroller with a big orange sign "wide load"

Nola loved hers so much she wanted to stay in it for a while. Rockwell was rockin his backpack over lunchtime.

Nola's BFF Emma showed up for some fun.

Our good friends, the Post family, Jon, Rebecca, Emma, and newborn Reece hiding in the carrier.

A pocketful of popcorn ends the show.

It's Official
The name "baby sweetie" is officially Nola's new name and Rockwell's new name is "baby honey." Where does she come up with these things? Forgive the lack of pants, Nola actually had an opinion about her attire this afternoon.

And here they are together, they are actually becoming really good little playmates which is nice for me! And Rockwell is now army crawling and popping up on his knees and moving about. Which is not nice for me :) His favorite spot is behind the couch chewing on electrical cords. He's his father's son and loves the wires!

What's your name?
I've been trying to teach Nola the answer to the simple question "Nola, what is your name?"
I even throw in a clue in the question. Nola can now count to 20, recognise all her letters, sing her ABC's, and can even spell her name out loud. But today the answer to my question was loud and clear and very consistent...
"My name is Baby Sweetie!"
She even told it to the server tonight at dinner and it was the last thing she said before bed, after her goodnight prayers.
We can't stop laughing! Video will follow if she chooses to keep her new name of "Baby Sweetie" tomorrow ...
