O No-la!

Nola fell yesterday in her new shoes while playing with her cousins and actually ended up breaking her leg! We think she twisted her ankle and fell off her shoe. I know I can't believe it either. She fractured her tibia and bent her fibula. She is such an angel and handled the whole thing beautifully.

At home with the temporary soft cast.

I'm glad she thinks raisins are candy, because when she actually got a real candy sucker, she forgot all about the cast.

Hippo gets a cast too!

Little bro looks on.

Ever since the tube surgery in her ears earlier this month, Nola has been the biggest blessing to my days and quite the riot, I might add. She counts to 10! She talks non stop and speaks in 5 word sentences like "daddy, where did Lula go?" A new game she likes to play sounds a bit like marco polo with my name. She will yell "Mommma" until I answer "Noooolllaaa" even if I am right in front of her.

After she got the hard cast on today, we took her to the concert in the park. She was high on children's motrin, so a bit out of it. She will have the cast on for 4 weeks and not be able to walk. She really did well at a park even though she could not get up and run around! Say a prayer for us during the days with this new challenge.

Rockwell loves sleeping in the sling.

Nola loves to dance, but since she can't stand up, she decided to hand dance. video

Colorado Rockie

From Lazy Days of summer to crazy days of fall...

Rockwell is now 9 weeks old, 9 lbs. 13 oz. and growing great! He's enjoying those sporting events still. A few weeks ago we took him to his first Rockies Game.
Leave it to Zack to hold him high in the air and show him off to every hot dog vendor in the entire stadium! He told everyone that his name is "Rockie" after the Rockies.

First Sporting Event

Rockwell attended his first sporting event this weekend. We went to the U.S. Senior Open at the Broadmoor http://www.broadmoor.com/senior-open.php

No cameras or cell phones were allowed in the gates, but we snapped a quick shot as we were finished on Saturday.

It was unusually hot for CO Springs this weekend, but thanks to Zack's job, we were able to hang out in an air conditioned sponsor tent on the 17th hole the entire time.

Nola enjoyed herself on Saturday and knew enough to yell "ball" right when the crowds were signaled to be pin-drop silent. She has had a plastic golf clubs for a few months now, so she totally knew what a golf ball was.

And Sunday, Rockwell let out a cry that even made the golfers look our way. Yikes! O well, how silent can you be in crowds of thousands of people when you have babies?

Overall, we had a blast as a family this weekend! We love to be where the action is.
