IT'S A BOY!

Just had an ultrasound this morning and we're having a baby boy! We are so thrilled. All the pressure was on us to carry on that Bender name.

We are 18 weeks along and due June 29th.

Baby boy is healthy and kickin' and he has big feet in the ultrasound photos too!

Walkie Talkie Nola

Nola is walking and talking up a storm.


She took her first steps the day before her 1st birthday in November, but her mode of transportation remained the one legged crawl-scoot for about 6 more weeks. Now she is like a walking wind up toy that never needs winding.


Her favorite past time is to walk and talk on the phone, or walk and sing, or walk and clap. Really anything that involves moving her mouth and legs at the same time.

And here are a few clips from last month when she was a bit more wobblie on those toes. Pops called it her drunken sailor walk! She sings "dog" in her british accent to the dog and then does "head and shoulders knees and toes" and then tells the dog "nein" her german word for "no". What a ham!

Nola's New Years = Our Breck Break

Nola stayed with Gammy and Grandbob for 5 days between Christmas and New Year's while Zack and I met our best friends from Oklahoma and Texas in Breckenridge for a ski trip!

Skiing at 15 weeks preggers, risky business, but let the fun begin!

No casualties, not bad! Living in CO is paying off.

I have never been away from Nola that long and really didn't know what to do with myself! We skied (girls less than the guys), shopped, and even had a spa day!

Nola was an angel baby and it was the little things that kept her entertained!
