Oh Deer!

When we moved in 3 years ago, the family we bought our 50 year old house from told us there is a pack of deer that give birth to their babies in the back yard every year! We secretly cringed thinking that the dogs would certainly change that.

But our deer, being creatures of habit, stayed around. We have seen many Bambi's come into the world and then grow up as shaggy adolescent deer, some with small antlers growing.

Christmas morning a few bucks were on our driveway, and then that night they were in our front yard again when we drove up. The pack really stays together and there are about 12 deer in the family.

Taken from our kitchen window Christmas morning. They sure stop traffic and attract the tourists.
